Raj, a British national, has over ten years’ Front Office Banking experience across the Asia Pacific region. He joined Webbe in December 2012 having worked for three years with a global recruitment firm also covering Corporate and Transaction Banking. Raj leads this practice for the Asia Pac region, including Australia.

Raj has in-depth knowledge and experience of Corporate and Transaction banking positions, providing cross border recruitment solutions, including cash, trade and lending positions. He has a very well-established network of contacts across South East Asia and Greater China, built upon a solid base established initially through the organization of numerous Banking Summits within the region in his previous career.

Raj has also added Non-Resident Indian (NRI) Private Wealth to his brief as of 2014 and this is for global coverage including Singapore, Hong Kong, Dubai and London.

In addition to his role providing recruitment solutions for his client, Raj has also worked with a number of CEO’s on strategic consulting projects. This includes P&L assessment of the market and providing information to help in the internal strategic decision-making process.

Based in Singapore, Mabel, a Singaporean national, is a highly successful and experienced headhunter in executive search often ranking in the top 5 of the Asia Money survey. She has now worked at Webbe since 2005, so over ten years. She is a Financial Markets specialist and her coverage includes cash equities, equity derivatives, equity finance, electronic execution related positions as well as all the FICC related roles in sales, trading and structuring. In addition she works on buyside long only fund management and Real Estate Investment searches in Singapore and also acts as Account manager for key Webbe relationships.

She is highly client oriented, meticulous, has a very strong network including contacts outside Asia and has an industry leading success rate in closing. Mabel is a Singaporean national and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from National University of Singapore.

Her ranking and reputation has been built on a phenomenal work ethic and an intensity and total dedication to caring for her clients. She has real passion and commitment and has one of the quickest response rates in the business, whilst not compromising quality.

Based in our Hong Kong office, Scott is the Managing Director and Head of the Hong Kong, China, and South Korea offices. Scott is the key account manager for Webbe’ strategic partnerships for searches within Global Markets, Alternatives and Investment Banking for the Asia Pacific region.

Scott started his Executive Search career in London in 2004 before relocating to Hong Kong in 2006 to open the office of a leading Capital Markets focused search firm. In 2009, he joined Webbe International to grow its APAC presence and has been instrumental in building out the businesses of leading buy and sell side firms.

Scott has hired and grown a strong team of consultants and researchers across the region and has ensured he maintains a diverse mix of backgrounds to ensure all markets and clients can be covered successfully. His team of consultants enables him to have a broad and in-depth knowledge of the markets they cover, resulting in one of the strongest search practices in Asia.

He holds a B.A Honours Degree from The University of Bristol in Cancer Biology and Immunology and Scott continues to be one of the top ranked executive Headhunters in his area of specialization.

In his spare time Scott enjoys adventure travel, exploring the hills of Hong Kong, fishing and is the President of the Lamma Homebrew Society.

He is also a supporter of numerous charities which he is an active fund raiser for and is helping to drive the drive the CSR initiatives at Webbe.

Jeremy has worked in Financial Markets Executive Search since 1991. Prior to founding Webbe in 1997, Jeremy co-led an Investment Banking executive search business in London between 1991 and 1997 specializing in Asia, Latin America and Emerging Europe.

Jeremy formed Webbe International (Asia) Pte Ltd, in 1997, with a key focus on the Asia Pacific markets and with offices now based in Hong Kong, and Singapore. A unique information based approach was conceived and successfully implemented. In addition to Financial Markets / Investment Banking, Jeremy also works closely on mandates in the legal sector.

Jeremy has built one of the leading Executive Search businesses in Asia, and he is personally involved with many of the clients and remains very “hands-on”. His many years of experience, and hundreds of executive placements have given him the insight to create a unique firm in the search industry, one which believes that an individual can still make a difference in a financial Institution today and one that also believes in integrity.

In terms of his specific day to day role, Jeremy continues to drive relationships with key accounts across business areas and is involved on a day today basis with clients and working closely with the Webbe team at all levels and all practices.

Jeremy’s approach of partnering with clients and combining executive search with strategic consultancy has led to the formation of one of the strongest recruitment platforms in its focus on the Asia Pacific region, and remains built upon the foundations of INTEGRITY, INSIGHT & INTELLIGENCE.

Lawrence arrived in Hong Kong in September 2016 with the mandate to further expand Webbe International’s front office global markets coverage of Equity Derivatives. His mandate spans across the entire APAC region having successfully made placements in Hong Kong, China, Singapore and Tokyo.

Lawrence prides himself in having some of the most up to date and accurate market intelligence allowing him to work closely with clients to target specific candidates in order to deliver in an efficient and timely manner. With this approach he has helped Webbe to become one of the market leaders at delivering executive searches within Equity Derivatives.

After successfully developing the Equity Derivatives practice, Lawrence’s mandate now covers the broader Equity markets including Systematic Equity, Prime, Execution Services and Research . Through the same approach adopted with the Equity Derivatives business this has allowed Lawrence to quickly become a go-to name on the street to work with for both clients and candidates in order to provide colour on current market trends and performance analysis across the street in what is still one of the fastest growing and most profitable businesses for investment banks in Asia.

Outside of executive search Lawrence is an avid rugby player and holds international honors for his adopted country, Hong Kong. He also holds a business and marketing degree from Strathclyde University, Glasgow.

George focuses on the Alternative Investment Space, working alongside a team of researchers to successfully cover the APAC region. Covering both the buy & sell side, George has helped firms make strategic hires across Private Credit, Special Situations, Real Assets and Private Equity.

Having previously worked as a Consultant in London, George has spent over two years as a specialist in Hong Kong during which time he has enabled his clients to build out their businesses in new locations, improve existing teams, and provide strategic market intelligence to help understanding the competitor landscape. George, and his team, aspires to develop long-term partnerships with their clients to strengthen their businesses and ultimately increase revenues.

In his spare time, George is keen long-distance runner, skier and sailor; regularly competing in races for the Hong Kong Yacht Club.

Stuart joined Webbe in 2018 and leads the FIC Trading practice across APAC. He prides himself on both his product understanding and market coverage. Working closely with the heads of business, Stuart helps to identify key growth areas and provides subsequent talent to achieve their long terms goals.

Having built and run a multitude of different start-ups in his home town of Cape Town, Stuart, has an innate sense of entrepreneurism which is very much needed in the ever changing world of Global Markets and the technologies that support them. Alongside providing tactical hires, he assists clients in providing both competitor analysis and market intelligence. Working with a team of researchers, Stuart aspires to further develop the Trading business whilst continuing to build on existing relationships.

Outside of work, Stuart, played and now coaches touch rugby at an International level, is an avid coffee drinker and a lover of all things tech.
